My education is in mathematics and Statistics. Before my Language Technology carrier I worked on various kinds of data processing and statistical analysis projects. I have also been involved in terminology for Information Technology for about 35 years. I have been working in the field of Language Technology for about 10 years. I have mostly been working on NLP such as tagging and lemmatizing Icelandic text and the compilation of a corpus. I am the project manager of the Tagged Icelandic Corpus which has recently been released. In my opinion the NEALT is a good organization that serves its purpose in a good manner. If elected I will strive to continue its work in a similar manner.
